Following the Three of Swords, the Four of Swords is a need for calm after the strife. It is the time you need to take for you, to rest, to go back to center, to reevaluate and shift your priorities accordingly. Be kind to others, most importantly be kind to yourself. There is no shame in retreating, no shame in valuing yourself and your peace of mind. You’ve made it through the other side of emotional exhaustion, its time to look forward to something good.
Reversed, is basically the world’s worst patient. Everyone around them tells them that they’re sick, they need to rest, but they insist on getting up and doing anything and everything they can. This is counterproductive. Busy work doesn’t mean that your psyche won’t be heard, it just means that you’re avoiding the inevitable. Stop, sit still, and breathe deeply for a minute. You are not weak for needing a break from the world, sometimes it’s a lot to take on, but you still need a break.
Rambling aside (my brain fogged ass has a cold), thanks for reading and let me know what you think in the comments. Bye!
