The Two of Cups represents a balanced, equitable relationship based on mutual respect and unconditional love. I think the biggest misstep when discussing love and relationships is the assumption that its romantic. I don’t subscribe to that. We, as humans, have a boundless capacity for love, and relegating that love to family and romantic partners takes away from the many different forms love can take. This card, to me, is exactly like the many contacts in astrology that indicate platonic love and a deep understanding, which is a strong basis for any relationship. Now that I’m done blathering on about love, this is also an indication of a good business partnership. At its core, this card is equitable. The cups are equally filled with respect and admiration for the other.
On the reverse, an equitable relationship is exchanged for an inharmonious one. If it has become imbalanced, take a step back and examine why. Be honest with yourself and disregard the pride that prevents you from extending the olive branch first. Remember, you can be right or you can be happy. If your relationship started out imbalanced, its even more imperative you be honest with yourself. What is driving you to stay here, what is the emotional payout you get if you do? Everyone deserves love and respect, but that includes you too. And, sometimes, there are people who are better out of your life than in; there’s no shame in that. Wanting to love someone doesn’t make you a fool, it makes you human.
Anyways, thanks for reading and let me know what you think in the comments. Bye!
